Thanks for taking the time to stop by–you must be really bored if you’re reading this ‘about me’ page! Whether you’re bored or just curious, here’s my contribution to cultural narcissism in the 21st century:
I love God and the life he has given me. My identity is found in the fact that I am first and foremost His son with my call, the same as every believer, being to follow Christ. Secondarily, I am husband to one of the greatest gifts ever given to me–my wife, Sarah. My ‘vocational call’ is to serve in pastoral ministry to the local church.
Deep within my heart is the desire to see those outside of fellowship with Jesus fall in love with Him–He’s awesome and has turned my life upside down. As a passionate lover of the Church, I believe a properly functioning local church serves to bring the life, hope, and power of Jesus into the world in a way nothing else can. I am privileged to serve as one who helps equip the church to fulfill her mission, bringing glory to Christ.
I am driven by seeing people come to know Jesus and then helping them to find their place of purpose and fulfillment in His Body; related to this is the enjoyment I find in equipping people to be marvelously successful in the role God has for them. Communicating God’s Word in a relevant and engaging manner is also an integral part of who I am; in fact, in the near future, I hope to have some of the previous sermons I’ve delivered available for listening and download on the sermon page.
You can always feel free to contact me; I’m ‘jeremiah<at>jxgomez.com’.

Thanks for your kind words–I had a wonderful time with all of you at AWC! Thanks for being a ‘receptive vessel!’
